Doors of Daitoku-ji

 

I spoke with Ron Sinnige about ‘Embodied Void’ and my art. He wrote about it in four parts on his blog GEENZEN. In Part I we talked about the series Doors of Daitoku-ji.

I waited in front of the temple door of the Daitoku-ji zen temple to ask a monk if it was possible to meditate there every day. The door remained closed. I gave in to patience, my meditation had begun. The result is the series Doors of Daitokuji.
