Dutch Sky
A landscape does not begin with the land.
In Dutch Sky, I reduce the familiar Dutch horizon toward light and colour. What we call a blue sky is already an act of perception: light is scattered through the atmosphere and interpreted by the eye.
The series explores the point at which landscape stops functioning as description and becomes an experience of seeing.
